During 2018, Stewart was invited to create a series of works to be photographed and published in a book exploring the theme of art as medicine.

The author selected certain artists to submit works which reflect upon how creativity can assist an individual in recovering from a period of physical or mental ill health.

The project resulted in three new sculptural textile pieces, 40 Hands, 40 Heads, and Me & My Shadow.

Stewart has recently completed a new personal and thought provoking interview with John Hopper published in Inspirational 17.

The fully illustrated interview reflects upon the development of Stewart’s work over the last couple of years and also outlines his aspirations for the future.
