I will be participating in 'Bankley: 30 Years of Artist Led + Open Studios' later this month. #sashiko @mcrschart. #indigo dyed cloth made in #kolkata #india during November 2019. Following a week of pleating cloth @mcrschart, it reminded of a photograph I own of my great-grandmother Mary Jane Ashton (b. 1879, Bangor, North Wales). She was a dressmaker by trade and I have often wondered if she had made the dress she is wearing in the photograph. Pleating @mcrschart.
